About the Role

Are you an organized and proactive professional with a passion for healthcare? We are looking for a Medical Office Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced, digital-first environment.

In this role, you will be a pivotal player in ensuring seamless operations, supporting both our medical staff and patients remotely.

This is not your typical medical clinic role; you’ll be part of a cutting-edge telemedicine practice where every interaction happens virtually, making your expertise in administrative tasks and patient communication crucial to our success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Patient Interaction : Engage with patients through professional and courteous correspondence.
  • Appointment Management : Schedule and manage patient appointments, ensuring efficient use of our digital calendar.
  • Administrative Support : Assist patients with forms and necessary paperwork, maintaining accuracy in electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Communication : Handle phone calls and inquiries, directing them appropriately and managing patient referrals to specialists.
  • Data Management : Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, handle data entry, and manage the importation of patient information.
  • Operational Tasks : Manage billing, insurance claims, and office supplies. Support the team with general office duties and manage the setup of exams / EMG rooms.

Qualifications

  • Certification : Medical Office Assistant Certification is essential.
  • Experience : Minimum of 2 years as a Medical Office Assistant with proficiency in EMR systems.
  • Skills : Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication skills. Detail-oriented with the ability to work independently.
  • Compliance : Maintain patient privacy and confidentiality.
  • Technical Proficiency : Comfortable using computers and office equipment.
