Bilingual Medical Office Assistant - Remote
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented individual to join our client's team in the insurance industry. This role offers the flexibility of working remotely, providing you the convenience of working from home while contributing to a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
The successful candidate will support the National Group Disability organization, collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities :
- Process Access Requests by reviewing the request and consent to identify correct information and authority to proceed.
- Review access requests meticulously, redacting third-party information to prevent privacy breaches.
- Refer privacy breach incidents to the employee’s leader for resolution and reporting.
- Handle emails across multiple group email inboxes.
- Set up disability claims and manage follow-ups.
- Handle Client and Control Reports.
- Issue payments for vendor invoices.
- Conduct data entry from claim forms to the claims payment system (Navigator).
- Manage correspondence with claimants, clients, or other stakeholders, ensuring compliance with privacy protocols.
- Track, search, and retrieve offsite files.
- Handle media files.
- Assist with new client onboarding and file transfers.
- Coordinate new hire onboarding, including ordering IT equipment and access.
- Provide IT equipment support for existing employees.
What you will need to succeed :
- Post-secondary education (college or university level) is preferred.
- Bilingual in English and French (spoken and written).
- Strong PC skills with experience using Adobe and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Strong organization, prioritization, and planning abilities.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to manage high workload volumes and conflicting deadlines.
- Fast learner who is analytical, proactive, and takes initiative.
- Ability to investigate and resolve discrepancies / issues.
- Demonstrates tact and diplomacy.
