Operations Manager
for our
Student Transportation division in London, Ontario.Your Role : Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Operations Manager is responsible for the daily operations of the Student Transportation Division.
This role will manage and oversee compliance of the Key Performance Indicators while influencing customer satisfaction, increasing revenue of the division and overseeing operational effectiveness and quality.
The successful candidate will be a important contact for management in key accounts and therefore a high degree of diplomacy and tact will be required.
OperationsManage efficient vehicle utilization, minimize deadheadEnsure compliance with contractDirect activities related to dispatching, routing, and tracking transportationPlan, organize and manage the work of staff to ensure that the work is accomplished in a manner consistent with organizational requirementsImplement schedule and policy changesOversee effective school year start-up and shut-downCollaborate with other managers and staff members in order to formulate and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectivesWork with Health & Safety team, in cooperation with government agencies, to conduct investigations in order to determine causes of transportation accidents and incidents, to improve safety proceduresFollow up on all manners of progressive disciplineOversee and report on KPI's for schools and charters, deficiency lists and any customer satisfaction surveyEnsure proper levels of employees by working work with the Talent Acquisition team to attract new candidatesPlan and facilitate safety meetings and bi-annual driver's meetingsMonitor spending and oversee divisional budget to ensure all expenses are consistent and in-line with approved budgetsOversee payroll administrationMentor, Motivate and resolve conflict management.
Customer ServiceYou will be the main point of contact for daily operationsYou are integral in the quoting of new business and will ensure compliance to contractsYou will oversee daily operation's communication re : STS portal information, maintenance of process, validity of data within the dispatch systemYou will acts as an ambassador for Voyago on and off company property and increase Voyago's visibility within the community by participating in company sponsored eventsYou will create and build strong customer relationships
ReportingYou are responsible for KPI's for both schools and chartersYou will over see and report on customer satisfaction survey
DriversYou will ensure your division maintains the proper levels of employee and work with the Talent Acquisition team to attract new candidatesYou will manage deficiency listYou will facilitate safety meetingsYou will help plan and facilitate bi-annual driver's meetings
FinanceYou will monitor spending and oversee divisional budget to ensure all expenses are consistent and in-line with approved budgetsYou are responsible to oversee payroll administration.
OtherYou will always act as an ambassador for Voyago Transdev on and off company propertyYou will helps increase Voyago's Transdev's visibility within the community by participating in company sponsored eventsYou will help increase visibility within the community by participating in company sponsored events
RequirementsYour ProfileYou posses a University or Post Secondary Degree or EquivalentYou have minimum 3 years experience in a supervisory / management role in operations environmentYour experience in Student Transportation, Medical Transport or Transportation is preferred but not mandatoryYou have the ability to obtain a B class LicenseYou posses a Clean Drivers Abstract and clear Criminal Record Search with Vulnerable Sector SearchYou have excellent verbal and written communication skillsYou have previous experience working in a dynamic, high demand work environment with specific deadlines, where the role required handling and maintenance of confidential and sensitive materialsYou have advanced skills in all Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) as well as Adobe AcrobatYou have the ability to participate in and facilitate group meetingsYou are willing to participate in education upgrading as requiredYou posses proven financial acumenYou have the ability to travel within OntarioYou have a strong business acumen and ability to clearly and succinctly communicate ideasYou are a natural people leader who is driven to ensure others are successful (Employees and Customers)You demonstrate professional written and oral communication as well as impressive interpersonal skills
