We are a recruitment agency representing a prominent commercial property manager and developer located in Vaughan. Our client is seeking a dedicated and experienced Commercial Accountant to join their growing team.

Position Overview :
The Commercial Accountant will be responsible for managing the accounting functions for a portfolio of commercial properties.
The successful candidate will bring expertise in property accounting, demonstrate strong financial acumen, and have an eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage all financial aspects of a portfolio of commercial properties.
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Perform bank reconciliations and monitor cash flow.
- Prepare operating cost reconciliations and budgets.
- Assist in the preparation of tax returns and compliance documentation.
- Maintain general ledgers, journal entries, and accounting records.
- Liaise with property managers and respond to tenant inquiries regarding accounts.
- Ensure compliance with company accounting policies and financial regulations.
Qualifications :
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Commercial Property Accounting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (Yardi) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong understanding of real estate accounting practices.
- Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced office environment.
