Latin American Cultures II
Major events that shaped the cultures of Latin American societies in the twentieth century. Through the examination of diverse historical, literary, philosophical and visual texts as well as narratives of popular culture, students will learn about the cultures of Latin America in the Modern period and the era of globalization.
The course, which addresses both Spanish and Portuguese speaking Latin America, covers a wide range of issues (identity, modernity, revolutions, democracy, dictatorships, iconic figures, cities, race, gender, globalization) and representative texts.

MA ou PhD. en études supérieures en études latino-américaines. Formation à la culture et à l'histoire latino-américaines.
Expérience de l'enseignement des études latino-américaines. Trilingue : français / anglais et espagnol ou portugais. Cours dispensé en anglais.
MA and Graduate Studies in Spanish or Latin American Studies. Training in Latin American culture and history. Experience teaching Latin American Studies.
Trilingual : French / English and Spanish or Portuguese. Course taught in English.

An acceptable level of education and / or experience could be viewed as being equivalent to the educational required and / or demonstrated experience.
