The challenges that await you
Reporting to the head of the health, safety and well-being division, you are responsible for managing occupational health and safety prevention activities and managing absence files, primarily in relation to the CNESST. Ensuring a cross-cutting approach between the occupational health and safety prevention aspect and disability management, you formulate recommendations to address the root causes of work-related injuries that lead to time loss and promote sustainable workplace attendance. Results-oriented and focused on operational efficiency, you propose improvements in integrated occupational health and safety work processes. In this capacity, you participate in establishing annual orientations, objectives, and targets in occupational health and safety, based on the management's major directions.
Occupational Health and Safety Prevention Aspect
You are responsible for identifying, developing, and recommending various occupational health and safety prevention programs and guides that allow for the control of major occupational risks and reduce absenteeism. You will be called upon to assist City managers in deploying certain occupational health and safety tools, identifying light work tasks, and implementing measures that facilitate temporary assignments. You participate in establishing a prevention culture focused on accountability by providing various training sessions to managers.
Disability Management Aspect
You control and ensure the medical-administrative follow-up of CNESST files and provide advisory services to employees, managers, and service management. You analyze claims, establish the appropriate case management strategy to control the duration of absences, reduce CNESST costs, and increase employee workplace attendance. You coordinate actions with service managers and support return-to-work initiatives.
The ideal profile for us
- Hold a bachelor's degree in human resources management, administration, or another relevant field;
