Accounting Clerk - Part Time
Job Description
Our client is the national association of the 14 law societies mandated by the provinces and territories to regulate Canada’s legal profession in the public interest.
They are seeking a bilingual part-time Accounting Clerk who is responsible for accurately and efficiently recording financial transactions into the accounting system, keeping records organized, and checking for errors.
Your responsibilities will include :
- Data Entry : Inputting financial data into accounting systems, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Coding : Assigning appropriate GL codes to financial transactions to facilitate accurate categorization and reporting.
Performing calculations on invoices; costs, applying discounts or taxes, and ensuring that the final amount is correct.
- Verification : Conducting thorough checks and validations to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
- Record Management : Organizing and maintaining financial records and documentation in a systematic and accessible manner.
- Collaboration : Collaborating with team members and departments to clarify and verify financial information as needed.

Requirements
Post-Secondary Education in Accounting or Related Field. - Bilingual (English & French) - Proficient in data entry and accounting systems.
Great Plains an asset) - Strong attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping. - Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in Excel, including functions and formulas. - Familiar with PDF creation, editing, merging and conversion tools.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration and information sharing within the team.
