Summary

HIMS Operations is proactively seeking a Senior Consultant for a "future opportunity" to operate, and continuously improve secure, resilient infrastructure across public cloud and on-premises environments. The successful candidate will combine deep technical capability with strong operational discipline, supporting hosted workloads across at least two major cloud platforms while also working confidently with Hyper-V, Windows Server, and Linux.

This is a hands-on role for an experienced infrastructure professional who can translate customer requirements into practical solutions, troubleshoot complex platform issues, automate repeatable work, strengthen operational controls, and contribute to reliable service delivery in a multi-cloud and hybrid environment.

What will your typical day look like?

As a Cloud Infrastructure Engineer, you will design, implement, and support secure, scalable, and highly available infrastructure across multiple cloud platforms, including AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, and OCI, while also managing on-premises environments hosted on Microsoft Hyper-V. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include administering and troubleshooting Windows Server and Linux environments, supporting infrastructure performance, availability, security, storage, networking, identity services, and cloud integrations.

You will work closely with internal teams and clients to understand requirements, evaluate technical solutions, estimate effort, and deliver infrastructure enhancements that balance reliability, security, maintainability, and cost. A significant portion of your role will focus on automating infrastructure provisioning and configuration using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices and developing CI/CD capabilities utilizing tools such as:

  • Terraform
  • PowerShell, Bash, and Python
  • Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, AWS CodePipeline, and Google Cloud Build

You will help maintain governance, security, monitoring, logging, alerting, backup, and compliance controls across hybrid environments while proactively identifying opportunities for improvement. You will also lead the investigation and resolution of complex incidents, participate in on-call support rotations, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to enhance operational stability.

In addition, you will create and maintain technical documentation, including architecture diagrams, runbooks, operational procedures, and knowledge articles. As a senior team member, you will mentor colleagues, conduct peer reviews, share technical expertise, and contribute to the ongoing evolution of our cloud, virtualization, automation, and observability practices.

  • Strong experience supporting hybrid environments that combine public cloud services with on-premises infrastructure.
  • Hands-on experience operating Microsoft Hyper-V workloads and the supporting compute, storage, networking, backup, and recovery components.
