As an Operations Analyst, you will join a collaborative 4-person team responsible for supporting core collateral settlement processes, Fixed Income trading activities, and key business projects. Job Description
In this role, you will execute key operational processes in collateral settlements to support Fixed Income trading activities. You will work closely with front-office, back-office, regulatory, and custodial partners while identifying ways to streamline processes and manage operational risk.

Responsibilities
Process cash Principal and Interest settlements using the Loan IQ application for CSA agreements.

Execute cash settlements via SWIFT messaging (MT202, MT103) for Variation/Initial Margins governed by CSAs, as well as Repo Margins under GMRA.

Perform reconciliations of internal accounts, cash breaks, and depository balances through both manual and automated processes.

Investigate and resolve exceptions stemming from trade discrepancies, system feed issues, task station alerts, and Trade vs. Transfer report differences.

Assist in project life cycles: identify test cases, execute testing, track status, and ensure key project milestones are met.

Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal partners and external custodians to deliver optimal customer service.

Ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) are kept up to date and accurately reflect current processes.

Qualifications
Must-Have Qualifications:

1 to 2 years of direct experience within Capital Markets operations.
Sound knowledge of Canadian and US Fixed Income products and settlements.
Proven experience in settlements, payments, and reconciliations.
Demonstrated ability to handle transactional decisions/interpretations independently within defined SLAs and boundaries.
Exceptional organizational, time management, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
Commitment to the full 1-year contract duration.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications:

Hands-on experience with SWIFT messaging (MT202/MT103).
Knowledge of the transaction lifecycle for Fixed Income products, including Repo and Securities Lending.
Canadian Securities Course (CSC) or other relevant financial/industry certifications.
