Job Summary

Prepare and cook a variety of menu items to meet quality and presentation standards. Work collaboratively with kitchen staff to maintain efficient service and ensure compliance with food safety practices.

Main Duties

• Prepare ingredients by washing chopping marinating and portioning according to recipes and production needs.
• Cook menu items on grills stovetops ovens and other kitchen equipment while monitoring temperatures and cooking times.
• Follow standardized recipes and plating guidelines to ensure consistent quality and presentation.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations equipment and storage areas; follow sanitation and hygiene procedures.
• Receive and inspect deliveries rotate stock track inventory levels and minimize food waste.
• Coordinate with chefs and front-of-house staff to expedite orders accommodate special requests and support menu changes.

Requirements

• Secondary school diploma or equivalent preferred; culinary training or certificate is an asset.
• Previous experience in a commercial kitchen or food service environment.
• Knowledge of safe food handling sanitation practices and temperature control procedures.
• Ability to read and follow recipes production sheets and plating instructions accurately.
• Physical ability to stand for long periods lift moderate weights and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work cooperatively as part of a kitchen team.

Required Skills:
