ESTIMATORDrake International is proud to partner with a local Maritime company to assist them in their search for dynamic Estimator for the Halifax area.

This position will provide our clients customers with excellent customer service and product representation in a knowledgeable and friendly manner.

You will also be an advocate on behalf of the customers by reporting and responding to their needs while maintaining profitable sales growth.

We are pleased to be offering a growing career opportunity and to fill a position as a ESTIMATOR in our rapidly growing Commercial Division.

The position is based out of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia and is available immediately. Duties include : - Coordinate incoming & outgoing information, such as project specifications & quotations - Read and interpret project plans and specifications - Identify accurate labour, material takeoffs & time requirements in order to compute costs using project specifications and blueprints in both manual and computerized methods - Work in conjunction with other Estimator / Project Coordinators - Organize data for a Project Management team to ensure timely & accurate bids, and the successful completion of ongoing projects - Prepare special reports by collecting data, analyzing trends and summarizing information - Assist sales team by providing technical aid - Resolve discrepancies by analyzing information - Maintain & update cost and product databases Qualifications : - High school diploma or equivalent - College Diploma / University Degree (preferably in a related field) or equivalent Industry experience - Strong organizational skills and strict attention to detail - Math competency - Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft programs (especially Excel) - Multi-tasking skills, the ability to prioritize work, and the flexibility to meet urgent deadlines Assets (but not requirements) : - Previous commercial flooring experience - Computerized estimating experience - Commercial Flooring Estimating experience - Technical Commercial Flooring Knowledge Our large group is a diverse approach to the flooring industry.
