Customer Material Master Analyst (Calgary)

The CH146 is Canada’s largest helicopter fleet, their most deployed asset and it is used in multiple roles across the country.

Our team is integrated within the military Weapons System Management office and within Search and rescue, Tactical, Combat Support and Special Forces Operations.

The CH146 Customer Material Master coordinator’s role is to gather, define, maintain, and communicate CH146 metadata for all active or new CH146 components.

This coordinator will work closely with BTI Material Master team and the DND technical authority to obtain and govern all required metadata needed for the functionality of the Military SAP Defense Resource Management Information System.

This person will liaison between the data governance team, multiple functional business areas and Information Technology.

The CH 146 Customer Material Master coordinator will support business data users with needs assessments, problem resolution, data management and workflow support.

The position requires a business understanding, technical acumen, teamwork, and communication skills.In addition, the CH146 Customer Material Master coordinator must be able to work directly with our DND customer in ensuring that part number attributes are maintained on a yearly basis within the DND DRMIS System.

Responsibilities

• Govern the mirroring of Bell SAP Master data to DND DRMIS for the CH146 bill of material.
• Analysis, design, and creation of data repositories.
• Define / extract reports for group and end users.
• Develop and maintain business definitions and meta repositories reports.
• Perform data corrections for end users.
• Coordinate with Supply Chain and obtain the associated part attributes for new and changing components. (lead-times, classifications, etc.)
• Coordinate with technical authority team in DND office to obtain required technical meta data.
• Coordinate with BTI on concerns related to Material master attributes. (expiry dates, batch information)
• Maintain data issue logs and reports; resolve business data definition issues.
• Certify data and metadata quality and monitor and report on quality measures, metrics and KPI’s.
• Present Ideas for process and systems improvement recommendations that assist the business in achieving its goals and objectives, leveraging best practices and professional experiences.
• Develop and maintain work instructions for his position.
• Support the cataloging and creation of new part numbers within DRMIS AND Bell Material Master team.
• Support Min max adjustments within the Material Master BTI team
• Identifying areas of improvement to enhance efficiencies within the enterprise.
• Assist with the implementation, management and compliance of data policies, standards, and methods.
• Demonstrate, lead, and provide auditable repositories for the CH146 meta data.
• Establish trusted relationship and support, data governance team and our DND customer.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, administration or similar.
• Will consider additional work experience in lieu of degree.
• Build relationships with other areas in Supply Chain and other organizations.
• Ability to apply analytical skills to data to interpret and present findings.
• Strong communication skills to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Office programs, Power BI.
• An ease and appreciation for evaluating complex datasets.
• Prior experience performing qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Quickly grasps new concepts when faced with unfamiliar tasks.
• Inquisitive and driven analyst with a passion to innovate.
• Demonstrated business acumen, integrity, and interpersonal savvy to connect with stakeholders.

Assets

• Experience operating and inputting data into SAP / ERP systems considered an asset.
• Previous experience in import / export standards / procedures considered an asset.
• An understanding of Canadian Aviation Regulations and Standards.
• Analytical ability in evaluating inventory levels / demands considered an asset for future advancement.
• Knowledge of the regulatory requirements to be observed in handling aviation parts an asset.
• Prior Inventory Control procedures experience considered an asset.
• Previous Inventory Control procedures an asset.

SECURITY CLEARANCE

Incumbent must obtain and maintain NATO Secret security clearance issued by the Public Services and Procurement Canada's Contract Security Program (CSP) and BTCL security officers.
