Vice President Retail North America
Reports to : Chief Executive Officer
Role Overview
Reporting to the President of Montblanc Americas Region, the Vice President of Retail is an integral member of the Montblanc leadership team who will create a high level of trust and excellence while driving vision, cohesion, and sales.
The Vice President of Retail is responsible for overseeing all retail components of Montblanc including managing the P&L and working closely with Montblanc HQ and local leaders to ensure a strong operational, profitable, and results-driven environment.
This role is accountable for achieving sales and KPI goals, retaining and developing staff and client relationships, and overseeing processes and guidelines set forth by HQ to bring the region to its full potential.
Other areas of responsibility include ensuring operational excellence, training and client experience, productivity as measured by the P&L, growing our talent pipeline through proactive recruitment, selection, development, networking, and strategic succession planning.
Leads a corporate support team of Retail (full price and outlets), Training and Sales Development, Retail Operations, Store planning and Design, to achieve revenue goals as well as professional development goals.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute annual business plans to maximize revenue and profitability of the Retail division.
- Full P&L accountability, financial budgeting and forecasting for Retail. Responsible for the cost optimization of the Retail department and for the investment strategy to improve sales revenues.
- Provide vision, direction and leadership for 2 Regional Retail Directors with 27 boutiques and outlets. Lead a corporate support team to achieve revenue goals as well as professional development goals.
- Analyze and monitor KPIs within region to identify opportunities and coach management team to take action and achieve goals.
- Define and optimize the distribution strategy for both Full Price Boutiques and Outlets in liaison with its management and the real estate team.
- Define and strategize a multi-channel service through construction, training and operations in order to increase sales performances.
- Ability to inspire trust and motivate a retail organization of 200+ employees. Manage all relationships with the team and lead with all HR related topics.
- Collaborate with executive management to enhance brand services and deepen brand relationships.
- Design and drive a clear operational excellence strategy to support the network development, ensuring accountability from Retail teams on VM and Merchandising implementations.
- Drive strategic and tactical initiatives to deliver memorable shopping experience for our clients from hospitality to coaching and clienteling.
- Develop a clear VIP commercial policy to enhance client experience with the brand, driving High Artistry business and relationships with TOP VICs.
- Identify future business needs and implement strategies to enhance brand performance.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 10+ years of progressive retail management experience, including at least 5 years in a senior management role.
- Experience in the luxury industry; watch and jewelry retail business is a plus.
- Strategic thinker with proven history of exceeding expectations.
- Entrepreneurial drive and ability to define long term vision and objectives.
- Leadership maturity : ability to inspire and command respect and bring a level of calm to the teams in order create a collaborative work environment.
- In-depth experience at relationship management.
- Superb communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to work in a large and international organization.
- Multilingual is a plus, Spanish in particular.

Expected Salary Range : $220,000- $260,000
Salary will be determined based on relevant skills and experience.
