Your role and responsibilities
Working within the Motion Business Unit, the Mobile e-Power Segment Sales Manager develops, implements and updates the strategy for the electrification of off-highway and close to shore marine business in Canada.
In this role, you will coordinate sales activities, including identifying new customers in this growing market of electromobility of heavy off-highway and marine vehicles creating added value for the customer and ABB, with a clear focus on increasing ABB’s Share of Wallet, profitability and customer satisfaction.
Your main responsibilities are :
- Selling motors, drives and batteries to the assigned segment, ensuring maximized division profitability and customer satisfaction
- Market segment mapping and screening customers by appropriate segmentation (ABC curve)
- Leading the development and implementation of the account plan and growth actions.
- Defining sales targets for the account, and ensuring they are achieved with a structured follow-up process across Motion Business Area in Traction Mobile e-Power division.
- Providing solutions for their businesses that are in line with volume, mix and profitability targets
- Monitoring competitor activity and ensuring appropriate action is taken to avoid loss of market share.
- Driving the application of standardized marketing and sales processes and tools
- Ensure applicable information is appropriately reported on ABB CRM tool.
Qualifications for the role
- A Bachelor s degree in Engineering, preferably in Electric and / or mechanics. Other Bachelor degrees can be accepted provided the candidate has proven experience in electrification heavy off-highway vehicles.
- 5+ experience in sales of industrial products, preferably motors and / or frequency converters.
- Demonstrated experience in management of customer accounts and sales strategy.
- Fluent in English and / or French, other languages are a plus. French is required. English is also required to communicate with customers outside Quebec on a regular basis.
- Ability to travel 50% of the time across Canada.
