SummaryA career in our Sustainability practice, within Risk Assurance Compliance and Analytics services, will provide you with the opportunity to assist clients in developing analytics and technology solutions that help them detect, monitor, and predict risk.

You’ll focus on identifying and prioritising sustainability issues, setting goals that support alignment and integration of the sustainability vision into overall corporate strategy, and implementing processes, controls, systems, and dashboards to measure progress for consistent and accurate reporting.

As a Carbon Lifecycle Analysis Senior Associateyou’ll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to :

Work well both independently and as part of a collaborative team. On most assignments, you will be teamed with a multi-disciplinary set of professionals

Use feedback and reflection to develop self awareness, personal strengths and address development areas

Demonstrate critical thinking and the ability to bring order to unstructured problems

Use a broad range of tools and techniques to extract insights from source data / information, and know how and when to use tools available for a given situation and can explain the reasons for this choice

Seek and embrace opportunities which give exposure to different situations, environments and perspectives

Use straightforward communication, in a structured way, when influencing and connecting with others

Read situations and modify behavior to build quality relationships

Uphold the firm's code of ethics and business conduct

Use your analytical skills to apply regulatory frameworks to client opportunities

Develop carbon pricing models using Excel-based tools

Effectively prioritize and manage multiple assignments and clients

Be proactive in completing your assigned tasks, and be detail oriented when completing your work

Communicate progress on assignments to clients and team members, identifying solutions to potential obstacles and managing client expectations

Understand and demonstrate the principle of recognizing and managing professional risk

Experiences and skills you’ll use to solve

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Environmental Sciencesor a related field

Good knowledge of industrial processes, government policy, project economics

Good understanding / training on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) ISO family standards (i.e. ISO 14040, ISO 14044 and ISO 14071) and 4 consecutive years of relevant work experience in a technical role

Participated in at least 2 Life Cycle Inventory (LCI) or LCA studies as a LCA practitioner that addressed GHG emissions inventory or the global warming impact category and were compliant with ISO 14040 / 14044 standards

Carried out or participated in at least two LCA critical reviews as an expert within the last ten years

Willingness to keep up-to-date on market trends by reading and interpreting federal and provincial regulations, as well as legislation

Strong Microsoft Excel skills and ability to develop automated workflows

Strong client-service orientation, team and project management skills, with a focus on achieving high quality deliverables

Ability to think strategically, work independently and contribute to the team

A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences and working alongside and / or coaching diverse people and perspectives
