What we are looking for :

As a Registered Nurse in the Childbirth and Children’s Centre, you will be part of a interprofessional team caring for a neonatal population.

What you bring to the role :

  • Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses
  • BScN preferred or evidence of working towards
  • Current BCLS certification
  • 2 years experience preferred and ability to work independently in NICU
  • NRP certification mandatory for NICU
  • STABLE mandatory for NICU or completion within 6 months of hire
  • RNAO membership is preferred
  • Excellent physical assessment skills
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Demonstrated commitment to a patient / family centred care environment
  • Demonstrated excellent critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within an interprofessional team as well as independently
  • Well developed organization, communication, interpersonal and teaching skills
  • Evidence of ongoing professional development, continuing education and leadership experience
  • Demonstrated good attendance and performance record with the ability to maintain this same standard
  • Demonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with organization related policies, Standards of Care, health and safety legislation, best practice, and completing relevant mandatory education as required

Work Schedule :

The successful candidate will be required to 12 hour shifts, days and nights including weekends. Schedules may change based on operational needs.

There will be cross over training in the other Childbirth and Children’s Centre departments.

Compensation

Band J : $39.10-$56.05
