We are looking for a Business Analyst for a 12-month contract position, with possible extensions in Edmonton, Alberta . Must be legally entitled to work in Canada.

Position is available as primarily remote, with occasional requirements on site. Work days are minimum 7 hours per day.

Overview

The ideal candidate will be providing Business Analysis Services on an inflight agile, cloud software development project as well as several projects. The Business Analyst is responsible for gaining comprehensive knowledge of a new Educational Platform and related applications, gathering requirements for new functionality, and bridging the gap between the technical team and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Provide business analysis services in support of new educational platform and related applications in an agile environment.
• Elicit business requirements from business users and subject matter experts.
• Gather, analyze, document and validate new and existing business processes.
• Provide user mockups and low-fidelity designs.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings and capture documentation and minutes.
• Review business analysts’ deliverables to ensure quality.
• Write user stories and manage product backlogs.
• Assist in operational rollout and support.
• Lead and conduct user acceptance testing.
• Lead or assist in the development of business cases and other technical documents as needed.
• Escalate issues and risks, as appropriate.
• Provide stakeholder training.
• Engage and interact with the technical team.
