Job Description

The Opportunity :

Reporting to the Group Manager, Application Development, the Programmer Analyst will design, write and maintain processes related to applications using different programming languages;

develop specific computer and business expertise necessary to provide computerized solutions and maintenance to assigned project / system areas.

As a member of the Application Architecture team, the programmer analyst will also manage our Integration tools and assist in our global integration strategy.

What you do :

• Code, maintain, test and debug all programs for the concerns subsystems.
• Provide input for system changes or enhancements, giving primary consideration to the feasibility, maintainability, internal customer needs, and overall cost / benefit and quality requirements.
• Write all technical documentation related to their programs.
• Assist with the design and control of the integration strategy for all of RCL’s business applications
• Research new solutions to system architecture and data integration to support the evolving needs of RCL’s new and existing applications
• Assist with defining and enforcing standards for design, development and deployment, including documentation standards, code quality and system performance standards
• Manage RCL integration tools (configuration, deployment to QA / Prod, operations, monitoring)

Qualifications

Who you are :

• University / College degree in computer science (equivalent)
• 5 years experience working as a developer (a must)
• Experience with an integration / ETL platform (Informatica or other)
• Experience with Oracle databases, SQL, PL / SQL
• Experience with FTP / API integration
• Experience with Informatica PowerCenter or Intelligent Data Management Cloud (IDMC / IICS) is an asset
• Experience with Snowflake is an asset
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Bilingual (French / English written and verbal)
