Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Accountant to oversee a new division under the AIM umbrella. As a Senior Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with regulations, and providing strategic financial insights.

• Oversee various accounting functions, including Billing, Accounts Receivable (A / R), Accounts Payable (A / P), General Ledger (GL), Cost Accounting, Inventory Accounting, and Revenue Recognition.
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts, analyzing variances.
• Prepare and publish monthly financial statements.
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting.
• Research and address technical accounting issues to ensure compliance.
• Support month-end and year-end close processes.
• Ensure quality control over financial transactions and reporting.
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and sales tax filings.
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to strengthen internal controls.
• Perform any other controller-related tasks as necessary.

Qualifications

• 5+ years accounting experience
• Thorough understanding of accounting principles and procedures.
• Experience in creating financial statements and managing general ledger functions.
• An advanced degree in Accounting is preferred.
• CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CMA (Certified Management Accountant) certification is a plus.
• Excellent skills in using accounting software and administration tools.
• Bilingual (French and English), preferred
