Overview

YWCA Regina is in a period of bold growth and transformational change. With an ambitious strategic plan and a deep commitment to social impact, we are seeking an experienced, forward-thinking Program Impact leader who is energized by complexity, driven by innovation, and passionate about building strong, thriving teams. If you excel in dynamic environments and believe in community-centered leadership, this is an opportunity to shape the future of an organization making a profound difference in the lives of women, children, and families.

About YWCA Regina

YWCA Regina delivers critical services to women, gender-diverse people, children, youth, and families across our community. Our work spans a wide continuum of care, including:

Housing & Shelter: Providing safety, stability, and wraparound supports that promote healing, security, and hope.

Children’s Homes: Operating homes for children ages 0–12 in the care of the Ministry of Social Services, grounded in trauma-informed care and a sense of belonging.

Youth & Community Programs: Delivering education, training, prevention, and leadership programming—including Homebase, a youth-driven hub designed for youth, by youth.

Early Learning: Operating five licensed early childhood education centres.

Social Enterprise: Leading four social enterprises and a growing volunteer program.

Community Engagement: Hosting three signature fundraising and awareness events annually.

YWCA Regina is committed to creating safe, inclusive, barrier-free spaces where people are supported based on their strengths and aspirations. We prioritize equity, reconciliation, and systemic change in all our work.

With facilities across Regina, multiple 24/7 programs, an 89% revenue increase over the past five years, and a 2026 budget exceeding $24 million, we are one of the city’s largest and most influential nonprofit organizations—powered by nearly 400 dedicated staff.

Established in 1910, YWCA Regina has a long history as a trusted voice for women and families and a leader in addressing complex community challenges.

Position Description

The Chief Impact Officer (CIO) provides visionary leadership across all housing, community, and childcare programs. This role ensures that programs are person-centered, culturally grounded, financially sustainable, and aligned with strategic priorities—balancing mission, community impact, and operational excellence. • Ensure programming is informed by community voices and lived experience.

Funding & Resource Support

  • Collaborate with the fund development team on proposals and donor engagement.
  • Provide compelling data and stories for fundraising and communications.
  • Strengthen relationships with funders, partners, and investors.
  • Support grant management, reporting, and long-term funding strategies.
  • Identify new opportunities for partnerships, contracts, and diversified revenue.

  • Ensure programs meet accreditation, licensing, and ethical standards.

Qualifications

  • 5-7 years of senior leadership experience in community services, social impact, nonprofit, public sector, or related fields, with a strong track record of leading complex programs and high-performing teams.
  • Demonstrated expertise in program design, delivery, and evaluation, including developing outcomes, performance indicators, and quality assurance systems.
  • Strong financial and operational management experience, including budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, and managing multi-million-dollar program portfolios.
  • Proven experience leading trauma-informed, person-centered, and culturally responsive services, ideally within housing, shelter, childcare, youth services, or community-based settings.
  • Deep understanding of social issues, including gender-based violence, housing and homelessness, child welfare, early learning, youth development, and systems of oppression.
