Hill Knowlton Strategies Canada is seeking a

Vice President

Business Development Marketing to lead its dynamic national Business Development and Marketing team.

Business development and marketing are key priorities for the agency. Based out of the Toronto office, this role represents an exciting opportunity to support our senior leadership across Canada procuring new, world class brands to join our client roster.

The team supports new business pursuits including credential submissions, RFP documents, pitch presentations, training and more.

This team is also responsible for leading and executing the national marketing plan including events, thought leadership and social content.

While there is some proactive new business involved, this is not a lead generation role.

The successful candidate would enjoy the fast-paced and diverse environment of a leading Public Relations and Public Affairs agency.

Reporting to H K’s CEO, Sheila Wisniewski, the candidate will work with a team in the Toronto office and with colleagues in all locations across the country and globally.

Responsibilities :

Takes on large new business briefs and

oversees to

completion ensuring the delivery of integrated

top tier

work.

Builds best in class templates, copy and slides to elevate H K’s submissions.

Sets the tone for new business ensuring vision and values are reflected, and the agency is energized by the process.

Pivots to address issues when they arise successfully managing expectations and defusing conflict.

Oversees all new business reporting ensuring senior leaders are abreast of the new business pipeline, and inbound requests.

Works alongside and builds relationships with H K’s global new business teams, and WPP new business leads.

Leads the development and execution of the yearly marketing plan bringing forward new ideas and seeking feedback and buy-in from national leadership.

Works alongside client leads on organic growth projects and planning ensuring they have support and encouragement on existing mandates.

Leads out on the development and integration of agency innovations working alongside service and sector experts to elevate H K’s approach and bring new tools to our clients.

Works alongside sector and service leads to identify proactive new business targets and build plans against them.

Oversees planning and content development for H K Canada’s social channels and website ensuring the channels are delivering against strategy and performing against objectives.

Works in collaboration with the creative team to ensure all marketing collateral

high quality and

consistent with brand standards.

Works alongside senior leaders to guide marketing projects strategically determining where H K shows up.

Contributes knowledge and expertise to all parts of the organization.

Manages a team to effectively coach and develop their skills across business development marketing.

Celebrates new business and marketing efforts across the agency circulating strong submissions, leading training, and finding opportunities to celebrate the work.

Builds relationships nationally and builds trust with people at all levels of the organization.

Qualifications : Undergraduate degree

Undergraduate degree

At least 15 years working in public relations and / or marketing (agency experience preferred)

Deep understanding of business development and marketing functions

People management experience

Ability to navigate complex multi-stakeholder environments
