To support this continued growth, we are seeking Assistant Site Managers to oversee the Rushoon and Merasheen Greig sites, on a rotational schedule.
You'll be at the core of a dedicated team, fostering a culture of excellence and leading with innovative vision. In this vital role, you will be instrumental in guiding their operations to new heights.

What You Will Do :
- Provide leadership and mentorship to their team of Aquaculture Technicians, shaping the future of marine stewardship.
- Collaborate with Health & Safety teams to implement sustainable and safe working practices.
- Drive operational efficiency, ensuring their site functions seamlessly and upholds the highest standards.
- Build strong-identity teams that apply their diverse skills and perspectives to achieve common goals.
- Contributing to their marine strategy, bringing fresh perspectives to their weekly meetings and planning sessions.
- Manage resources adeptly, overseeing critical tasks such as equipment upkeep and strategic operational planning.
- Champion the welfare of marine life and environmental conservation with every decision.
- Apply strong problem-solving skills across various site management aspects, from feed management to quality assurance.
What You Will Bring :
- Diploma or Degree in Aquaculture, Aquatic Resources or Fisheries Resources Management is preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory capabilities.
- Comprehensive understanding of salmon operations and biosecurity protocols.
- A proactive, problem-solving attitude, capable of engaging a team.
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft applications (FishTalk experience an asset).
- A commitment to teamwork in a collaborative environment.
- Efficient time management and organizational skills.
Work Environment :
- Outdoor setting, immersed in the natural beauty of Newfoundland and Labrador.
- An active role, combining various physical activities including kneeling, bending and lifting.
- A unique work schedule offering a balance between work and personal time : Seven days on, followed by seven days off. 80 hours bi-weekly.
