Senior Software Developer - CRM

We are seeking a highly accomplished Senior Software Developer - CRM for an enterprise-level contract opportunity based in Toronto. In this role, you will take on a premier engineering capacity within application development and modern software delivery, specializing in the design, configuration, customization, and implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Case and Customer Management solutions.

As a principal CRM developer, you will bridge the gap between complex business requirements, secure cloud architectures, and seamless platform integrations. Operating fully onsite in Toronto, you will lead the development of custom workflows, extend Dataverse environments, integrate Power Platform and SharePoint components, build Azure DevOps CI/CD deployment pipelines, and optimize performance across enterprise CRM systems.

Responsibilities
Translate business requirements into working, tested CRM applications using Agile delivery methodologies, written user stories, and technical specifications.

Design, code, configure, and extend Microsoft Dynamics 365 Case/Customer Management, implementing entities, fields, custom workflows, business rules, forms, and views.

Integrate Microsoft Dynamics 365 with internal and external enterprise systems utilizing Dataverse, Data Entities, REST APIs, middleware, and gateways.

Develop custom Power Apps, Power Pages, and Power BI dashboards, ensuring seamless data flow and integration with Dynamics 365 and SharePoint Online.

Implement security controls, role-based access models, user profiles, data auditing frameworks, and data protection measures within the CRM ecosystem.

Optimize system performance, analyze query efficiency, and execute technical troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and defect resolution.

Prepare code release packages, manage source repositories in Azure DevOps, and integrate automated deployment scripts with CI/CD pipelines across test, staging, and production environments.

Perform unit testing and quality assurance checks, verifying that actual solution behavior satisfies expected business and technical criteria.

Collaborate closely with business analysts, technical leads, QA leads, and project stakeholders throughout the software development lifecycle to conduct design walkthroughs and refine user stories.

Author technical documentation, system specifications, and conduct formal knowledge transfer sessions for operational staff.

Qualifications
Core Requirements & Technical Capabilities
Dynamics 365 CRM Mastery: 6+ years of hands-on experience designing, developing, configuring, customizing, and implementing Microsoft Dynamics 365 Case and Customer Management solutions.

Power Platform & Integration Experience: 5+ years of experience with Microsoft Power Apps / Power Pages and 5+ years of experience integrating Microsoft SharePoint Online with Dynamics 365.

Dataverse & API Development: 5+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 cloud customizations, Dataverse / Common Data Service (CDS), Data Entities, Power Automate, and RESTful APIs.

Business Intelligence: 3+ years of experience in Power BI dashboard development and integrating Dynamics 365 data models for enterprise reporting.

GIS & System Integration: 3+ years of experience utilizing JavaScript, middleware, and gateways to integrate Dynamics 365 Case Management with external platforms, such as Esri ArcGIS Portal and ArcGIS Online.

DevOps & Release Engineering: Direct experience utilizing Azure DevOps repositories and pipelines for automated deployments across multi-tier environments.

Security & Access Control: 3+ years of experience managing Dynamics 365 security architectures, user roles, auditing configurations, and access control models.

Preferred Assets
Accessibility Standards: Knowledge of digital accessibility guidelines (AODA) and related standards.

Web & Scripting Languages: Hands-on development experience using C#, .NET, JavaScript, and rapid application development (RAD) methodologies.

Soft Skills & Delivery Experience
Agile Collaboration: Proven experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments using Azure DevOps for life-cycle tracking and task estimation.

Analytical Problem Solving: Superior diagnostic and troubleshooting capabilities to resolve technical issues and perform root cause analysis.

Communication & Facilitation: Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a track record of running effective design sessions and working productively with multi-disciplinary teams.
