Role Summary :
The Telehandler / Zoom Boom Operator is responsible for operating designated equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.
The Operator must also clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by legislation, as well as company policies and procedures.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Operate all assigned equipment in a safe and effective manner
- Read, countersign, and enter comments into daily operator logbook
- Must comply with work order system to include interpreting work orders, performing work requested and completing work orders per instruction.
- Complete and document a pre-operational check on assigned equipment
- Grease equipment as necessary
- Ensure equipment has proper safety equipment in place
- Keep interior and exterior as clean as possible
- Must have the ability to work well independently while maintaining a high level of safety, respect and great communication skills
- Loads or unloads material for a variety of departments, companies or business units as dispatched or called over radio.
- Any required repairs to assigned equipment are communicated to maintenance personnel
- Maintain a cooperative working relationship with clients and other employees
- Participate in Job Hazard Assessments, Field Level Risk Assessments, and tool box meetings
- Perform other duties as assigned such as general labor or operator duties when Telehandler duties are experiencing downtime.
Education & Experience :
