Jardeg is recruiting Equipment Operators for the Spring Turnaround at the CNRL Horizon site near Fort McMurray, Alberta.

This position starts May 13th on a 6 / 1 shift rotation working 12 hours per day. The approximate end date is June 18th.

Overtime is paid at time and a half for anytime worked over 8 hours a day and / or over 40 hour a week. There is both day shift and night shift positions.

There is a $3.00 / hr premium for night shift. This is a camp position with flights out of Calgary or Edmonton flight hubs.

An Equipment Operator will be expected to do but are not limited to the following tasks :

• Perform work and operate all equipment in a safe and efficient way according to all relevant legislation, company and site policies and procedures.
• Move material operating Zoom Boom and Skid Steer.
• Perform pre-operational routine inspections of equipment.
• Communicate and review hand signals with spotter.
• Demonstrate safe operation of all equipment.
• Read and understand the results and purpose of all gauges and equipment.
• Properly maintain and service or has equipment serviced daily.

Position Qualifications :

• Common Safety Orientation (CSO) or CSTS-09
• Telehandler Certificate
• Valid Driver’s License
• 3-Years Driver’s Abstract
