The Resident Engagement Manager is a critical role within our communities as it impacts the lives of residents through the strong leadership and motivation of Sienna team members.
Schedule : Tuesday to Saturday, 9am-5pm with some evenings and holidays.
Salary : $50,000 - $52,000 annually
As a Resident Engagement Manager your typical day will impact the following ways :
- Develop and lead a dynamic culture that promotes resident wellbeing, choice, and engagement
- Oversee The Market per the guidelines, and identify ways for it to better serve residents’ needs
- Complete and maintain professional development training, and ensure team members complete necessary certifications and training as required
- Consistently implement and enhance the new resident welcome initiative, which supports new residents in connecting and feeling like they are a part of the community
- Foster strong relationships with local organizations, vendors, and contractors to further support resident engagement and wellbeing
- Support the General Manager in the organization and take minutes for Town Halls and Resident Council meetings
- Develop the monthly community calendar of events and newsletter
Must haves :
- A passion and commitment to promote, elevate, and support the health and happiness of seniors through lifestyle wellness experiences, including special events, outings, small and large group programs, and fitness based offerings.
- A degree / diploma in Gerontology, Kinesiology, Human Kinetics, Therapeutic Recreation, Leisure Studies, Health Promotion, and Health Sciences
- Minimum of one year of experience programming for seniors in senior living independent living, assisted living, or in a senior’s community center environment or similar setting
- Minimum of one year of management and supervisory experience
- Certified to teach group land fitness and, where necessary, aquatic fitness to seniors through a reputable organization as approved by Sienna and / or willing to obtain within the first 60 days post hire
- Valid driver’s license and / or special-class license (or willingness and ability to obtain within the first 6 months of employment), and a clean driving record
- Current certificate in CPR and First Aid
