Quality Assurance Automation Developer
HYBRID position at Edmonton, Alberta
MUST HAVE :
Proposed resource must meet or exceed one of the following :
- University graduation : Computer Science(CS), Computer Engineering (CE), Information Technology (IT) or related discipline & 4yr related experience;
- 2yr diploma : CS, CE, IT or related discipline & 6yr related experience;
- 1yr certificate : CS, CE, IT or related discipline & 7yr related experience;
- current active professional certification or accreditation in related discipline from a recognized issuing body & 7yr related experience.
OTHER
Proposed resource has agreed to an Enhanced Security Check upon contract award.
Must have the last 3 years continuous residency in either Canada or United States as minimum.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Experience and understanding of software quality assurance QA, Testing and Defect Lifecycle.
Experience working as an Application Developer within an enterprise IT environment equivalent in size and complexity to the Government of Alberta.
Experience working directly with clients, and coordinating with both external stakeholders and internal business areas to ensure communications are relayed to all parties.
Experience in Agile Projects
Experience providing leadership, planning, estimating, and presentations of ideas and solutions.
Experience with automated unit testing and integration testing.
Experience with cloud computing or big data platforms and infrastructure
Experience with user acceptance testing including creation of user acceptance plan, status reporting, and managing assigned tasks.
Experience working in or for the public sector.
NICE TO HAVE
Professional qualification in Test Management (e.g., ISTQB or QAI certification)

Ability to learn quickly, problem solve, troubleshoot, work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to manage stress and conflict.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group.
The ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members, management and vendors.
