Senior Automation Test Engineer
Our client in the financial services sector is looking for a contract based Senior Test Automation engineer to work on their online web projects.
Responsibilities :
- Review functional and design specifications to ensure test case coverage
- Design and document the Selenium / C# based Integration Automation Framework / document Integration Automation best practices with the goal of maximizing of test coverage and minimizing test cycles time via automation but reducing automation maintenance efforts / costs.
- Evaluating all scripts and recommend changes as per the requirements.
- Enhance the automation test strategy to incorporate microservices automation test strategy where it is relevant regarding Integration and end to end user process flow including all services dependencies and DB integration.
- Define automation metrics and the process for collecting and validating these metrics, monitor efficiency of the automation activities of the Integration team.
- Develop NFR automation tests targeting interactions between different services and components, timeouts, retries should be design per releases as and when needed.
Requirements :
- 5+ years direct experience in software development with strong, hands-on experience in software automation testing, test case development, test execution, test results analysis, and test optimization.
- 3+ years experience in building C# based test scripts with Selenium Webdriver
- Experience in the creation, maintenance and optimization of automation frameworks including management of test reporting.
- Demonstrated experience in NUnit or JUnit.
- Experience working within a formal CI / CD pipeline.
- API testing using POST man or similar.
- Knowledge with web applications architecture, APIs, SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience with load testing using JMeter or similar.
- Knowledge and experience with Git / Stash
- Knowledge and experience with Jenkins, Bamboo
- Knowledge and experience of micro-services architecture regarding integration and functional automation tests
