We are seeking a hands-on Senior Accountant for a 3 month contract (possibility of extension) with our client in the manufacturing industry, located in North York. In this role, you will manage day-to-day operational finance duties alongside month-end close functions, while acting as a key contributor to an ongoing ERP system transition. This is an ideal position for a versatile finance professional who is comfortable balancing operational accounting responsibilities with analytical and project-based system tasks.

Responsibilities
Handle day-to-day Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Cash Application, including processing invoices, applying customer payments, and resolving transaction discrepancies.
Complete month-end accounting tasks, including posting journal entries and preparing account reconciliations.
Support the ERP migration process through master data cleanup, data validation, module testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Review financial statements, perform variance analysis, and investigate discrepancies to support operational requirements.
Qualifications
5+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience, including strong hands-on expertise in month-end close, reconciliations, AP, AR, and cash application.
Background operating at a Senior Accountant, Senior Financial Analyst, or equivalent level.
Degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; a CPA designation (or progress toward completion) is considered a strong asset.
Prior exposure to ERP implementations or finance systems projects; hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV or JD Edwards is an asset.
Ability to seamlessly bridge operational and analytical finance functions.
Proven track record of adapting quickly, working independently, and taking ownership with minimal supervision.
Summary
This role is full-time, 100% on-site 5 days a week. The successful candidate will independently handle daily accounting activities while actively supporting a key ERP migration from Microsoft Dynamics NAV to JD Edwards.
