Business Development Operations Specialist (14 Month Contract)
We are currently seeking a Business Development Operations Specialist (14 month contract) to join either our Toronto or Montreal offices.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Business Development Marketing Operations, the Business Development Operations Specialist is a part of the Global Marketing team and will support the Firm’s business development operations-driven initiatives.
This position acts as a hub for Firm-wide client-facing publications, leads the coordination of legal industry ranking organizations results, and is an active team member in larger strategic special projects.
This is a hybrid position.

Primary Responsibilities :
- Lead the coordination and project management of client facing communiques and thought leadership across the Firm’s platform, working collaboratively with regional production teams, Digital Marketing, and Communications Departments to ensure profile from thought leadership is maximized through various channels
- Coordinate the translation of all BD lead marketing materials including firm-wide bulletins, thought leadership publications, fact sheets, IPG website content, and other materials, as needed
- Lead the maintenance and updating of a central repository of firm-wide rankings, awards schedules, and results, as well as help to draft action plans and coordinate external and internal communications, including social media posts and exclaimer email signatures.
Coordinate the updating / tagging of practice and industry group narrative descriptions, achievements, and client work on the Fasken website
In collaboration with Research and Business Intelligence Analyst, communicate, coordinate, and outline processes related to ranking directory / award schedules and results with regional or firm-wide team members.
This includes analyzing past and current results, as well as providing comparisons to previous years
- Collaborates with the Firm’s communications team and Research and Business Intelligence Analyst to develop communication / action plans to promote the Firm’s rankings / recognition both internally / externally to ensure results are updated on the Firm’s website and in marketing materials
- Assist in the completion of Practice and Industry Group ranking submissions and awards, as needed, and assist in the coordination / setup of all rankings-related research or interview requests
- Assist the Senior Director, Marketing Operations and the Senior Manager, Business Development Marketing Operations in various innovation and process improvement projects
Required Knowledge and Experience :
- Ideally 3-4 years of experience in marketing / content development. Strong preference for candidates with legal or other large professional services-related matrix environments
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in business, marketing, or a communications field
- High proficiency with Microsoft Office programs including Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Experience with InterAction or other CRM tools a plus
- No travel requirement
- Bilingualism - English and French preferred (not required)
