Data Analyst
OnX Canada has partnered with a major Canadian Bank seeking a Data Analyst for a 12-month contract role.
Onsite Requirements : 1-2 days per week
Must Have Experience :
- SAS (5+ Years)
- SQL (5+ Years)
- Banking / FI Experience
- Power BI (3+ Years)
Job Description :
We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a background in banking, with strong experience in SAS and SQL.
Proficiency in Power BI is a plus. The successful candidate will work on data analysis and reporting for various initiatives within the team.
Key Responsibilities :
- Perform data analysis to support decision-making processes.
- Develop, implement, and maintain SAS and SQL scripts for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
- Generate and automate reports using SAS, SQL, and Power BI.
- Collaborate with team members to understand data requirements and provide insights.
- Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security.
- Identify trends, patterns, and anomalies in data to provide actionable insights.
- Support ad-hoc analysis and reporting requests.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in the banking industry.
- Strong proficiency in SAS and SQL.
- Experience with Power BI is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
Preferred Skills :
- Advanced knowledge of data visualization tools.
- Experience with other data analysis tools and programming languages.
- Understanding of data warehousing concepts.
