Who we need
Reporting to the Director, National Regulatory Affairs, we are looking for a Senior Manager, Academic Program Quality Assurance.
In this highly influential and visible role, you will coordinate multi-stage program review processes and provide strategic guidance to academic departments in developing comprehensive and insightful self-study documents.
With operations across three provinces and a diverse range of undergraduate and graduate degree offerings, you will navigate complex regulatory and accreditation requirements.
As a leading Governance, Regulatory, and Governmental Affairs team member, you will collaborate with organizational stakeholders to enhance program quality, ensure alignment with institutional goals and core values, and drive continuous improvement.
This is a hybrid role, working 2-3 days a week in our downtown Toronto office.

As our new Senior Manager, Academic Program Quality Assurance, you will :
Lead. You will lead the planning, coordination, and execution of program self-study processes across all academic areas, degree levels, and jurisdictions within Yorkville University.
You will ensure program review processes adhere to established timelines and quality standards. You will proactively identify, communicate, and mitigate risks to the timely completion of self-studies and other quality assurance processes.
Nurture partnerships. You will gather feedback for program improvement and align program reviews with institutional goals and curriculum standards to ensure compliance.
You will foster strong working relationships with the University’s Value Centres (especially the Curriculum Design team), academic leaders, faculty members, and other stakeholders involved in the program review process.
Provide expert guidance. You will share expertise and support academic units in crafting comprehensive self-study documents that accurately reflect the programs’ strengths, challenges, and future aspirations.
You will review and provide constructive feedback on self-study documents to enhance their quality and alignment with institutional goals.
Write. You will ensure the program’s human impact, value, and experience are expressed in meaningful and measurable ways through data-driven insights.
You will collaborate with the academic departments, marketing team, data science team, admissions, and the recruitment department to facilitate the collection and analysis of data for program assessment.
You will prepare clear and concise reports summarizing program quality, outcomes, and recommendations for academic leadership and institutional decision-making.
Identify areas for program improvement. You will contribute to developing and implementing strategies to enhance program quality, student learning outcomes, and overall academic excellence.
You will facilitate the analysis of ministerial conditions and commitments, program assessment data and past self-study findings to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
Collaborate. You will work closely with the AVP, Learning Design to ensure seamless integration between curriculum design initiatives and program quality assurance efforts.
You will coordinate faculty, student, industry, and alumni involvement at appropriate points with the program review process and payment processes as necessary.
Promote best practices. You will stay current with evaluation approaches, best practices in program quality assurance, accreditation standards, and higher education trends to inform process improvements.
You will ensure fiscally responsible utilization of resources in providing services and completing projects. You will contribute to committees and working groups to assist in developing practices, policies and protocols that promote program quality.
Share knowledge. You are passionate about academic program quality assurance and implementing the processes to achieve the highest standards.
You will develop and deliver training sessions and workshops to educate academic staff on the program review process, self-study development, and quality assurance practices.
You have :
The expertise. You have a Master’s or doctoral degree in education or a relevant field. You bring experience in program management, development, and assessment at the higher education level.
Or, you may have transferable experiences and insights from working in government or regulatory program evaluation or in nonprofit grant and proposal writing or evaluation.
You possess a deep understanding of how to apply and adhere to rigorous quality assurance processes in response to regional, national, or international regulatory bodies.
You have a keen attention to detail, ensuring that all program assessments and reports meet the highest standards. Familiarity with Canadian university systems, accreditation standards, and provincial regulations particularly in British Columbia, New Brunswick, and Ontario would be an asset.
The project management. You have proven experience managing multiple complex, concurrent long- and short-term projects from start to finish.
With high attention to detail, you ensure every aspect of a project is thoroughly addressed, focusing on meeting milestones, following processes, and proactively overcoming obstacles.
You are a creative problem solver, able to balance and shift priorities, anticipate and respond to issues, and manage communications and documentation effectively.
The technical skills. You have an affinity for technology and using it to increase efficiencies, streamline processes, and create engagement.
You are proficient with standard enterprise software tools, including Microsoft Office Suite. You can manage, analyze, and interpret data.
The interpersonal skills. You have exceptional oral and written communication skills. You can build trusting, influential relationships with diverse stakeholders, including the Curriculum Design team, academic leaders, faculty, students, alumni, regulatory bodies, and industry partners.
You have the emotional intelligence, business acumen and maturity to manage conflict, exercise diplomacy, practice discretion, and apply constructive feedback.
