Responsibilities include :
- Work with marketing team to determine customer needs and break down for solution design features;
- Identify technical challenges and work for a positive resolution;
- Conducting conceptual, preliminary and detailed design;
- Planning projects, developing accurate scopes of work, cost estimates, schedules and deliverables to execute on time and on budget;
- Perform mechanical engineering calculations to determine systems configurations and capacity;
- Work with manufacturing to determine the best manufacturing approach;
- Preparing mechanical design engineering reports;
Ideal candidate will have :
- You must have P.ENG Stamp.
- Minimum a Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering; Master is an asset;
- Design experience on overhead device or lifting equipment is preferred;
- Strictly disciplined, familiar with DMADOV, EQPM and PRD procedures;
- Experienced with stress analysis and solution trade-off skills;
- Proficiency reading and creating technical drawings;
- Extensive, hands-on knowledge of CAPA process;
- Familiar with MFG processes on welding, machining and sheet metal fabrication;
- Global sourcing experience is definitely an asset
- Capacity to interact within a multidisciplinary environment is necessary;
- Contribute to continual process improvement.
Job Type : Fixed-term contract
