What we are looking for :

The Surgical Unit offers a challenging opportunity for a Registered Practical Nurse with acute surgical care experience. As a member of the Health Care Team you will support our philosophy of patient focused care.

What you bring to the role :

  • Current Certificate of Registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • Demonstrated practice or completion of the Medication Administration certification
  • Current BCLS
  • Recent experience (within the last year) caring for inpatient Surgical patients is required
  • Excellent Physical Assessment skills are required
  • Well developed organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Evidence of professional development and continuing education is essential
  • Demonstrated good attendance record with the ability to maintain this same standard
  • Demonstrates a commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required.

Work Schedule

The successful candidates will be available to work days (0730h-1930h), evenings (1130h - 1930h), nights (1930h - 0730h) and weekends.

Schedules may change based on operational needs.

Compensation :

BAND CU10 : $34.70 - $35.97 per hour
