Parkway Co-op is hiring a full-time Agro Manager located at our Agro Centre in Roblin, Manitoba.

What you’ll do :

The Agro Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Agro Department by providing leadership, direction and oversight to the Agro commodities’ operations, programs, and policies.

  • Together with the Senior Agro Centre Manager, you will assist in the annual budget process.
  • You will collaborate with the Petroleum Manager and Agro Centre Sales Representative to elevate sales and the overall customer experience.
  • Provide leadership, including the recruitment, onboarding, goal setting, performance management, training, and development of the Agro team members.
  • Responsible for the purchase, pricing, scheduling, and dispatching of incoming fertilizer.
  • You will actively make marketing efforts, adhere to advertising standards, and contribute input to the retail’s marketing plans.
  • You will aid in the development of the tactical and strategic plan by researching and providing recommendations to senior management on trends and required strategies.

Qualifications :

  • Grade 12 Diploma
  • CCA or P. Ag preferred.
  • 6+ years of relevant experience, including 3-5 years of experience leading support services technical and / or professional employees.
  • Retail experience is considered an asset.
  • Experience in overseeing and monitoring customer satisfaction levels.
  • Experience in coaching and providing feedback to other team members.
  • Ability to control operational costs, maximize operational efficiency through increased sales and margins.
