On behalf of our Public Sector Client, Ignite Technical Resources is recruiting for a Site Reliability Engineer (Dynatrace) on a 12-month contract with the possibility of extension.
Summary of the Role
The Senior Site Reliability Engineer will develop observability solutions and automate monitoring processes using Dynatrace, Terraform, and PowerShell.
Focusing on end-to-end monitoring for applications on Azure, this role is responsible for enhancing performance, reliability, and scalability through automation and scripting.
Duties & Responsibilities :
- Act as the subject matter expert for Dynatrace, configuring and optimizing monitoring solutions.
- Design and implement monitoring strategies to ensure full visibility into system performance and reliability.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Platform teams to ensure accurate metrics and monitoring across services and infrastructure.
- Lead the rollout and adoption of observability practices, tools, and frameworks across various teams.
- Partner with Incident Management to address critical incidents, conduct reviews, and implement preventive solutions.
- Identify and mitigate potential issues to ensure system reliability and uptime.
- Drive automation initiatives using tools like Ansible, Terraform, and Kubernetes.
- Conduct capacity planning and analyze resource utilization to support growth and scalability.
Core Requirements :
- Proven experience with Dynatrace configuration, optimization, and monitoring.
- Expertise in automation tools like Terraform, PowerShell, and Ansible.
- Strong scripting skills for infrastructure operations.
- Experience with Azure services and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices.
- Background in capacity planning and performance optimization.
Desired Skills & Experience :
- Familiarity with incident management and post-incident review processes.
- Proficiency in Kubernetes for infrastructure management.
Terms
This is a 12-month contract position with the possibility of extension, based in Richmond, BC, with a hybrid work arrangement.
Reference checks will be required at the interview stage, and a background check will be completed upon offer.
