Key Responsibilities Include
- Member of the DevOps team that operates and deploys all infrastructure and platforms worldwide primarily on AWS, but with some Google Cloud and Azure.
- Participate in the team to support outages and issues on a 24x7 basis where they occur (PagerDuty and other ops alerts)
- Managed infrastructure using code. Terragrunt, Terraform and Ansible
- Manage GitOps CI / CD tools like e.g FluxCD, ArgoCD
- Manage operational databases for the company, primarily focusing on NoSQL (Couchbase), SQL and Elastic.
- Manage Cloud Network Resources for the DevOps team. Managing subnets, peering, network segregation, VPN and access control in a worldwide environment that is ISO, GDPR and CCPA compliant.
- Work with DevOps systems and tools improvements to reduce operational production costs, scaling / capacity management and improve efficiencies
- Work with the data science team to support and operationalize our big data cold storage systems
Basic Qualifications
- Experience and knowledge of DevOps practices particularly in small to medium sized startups / organizations
- Real-world experience with NoSQL, SQL, Couchbase and Mongo.
- Experience of operations and deployment of cloud-based SaaS systems
- Experience of Azure and AWS clouds (optionally Google) and related networking and technologies.
- Knowledge of source code systems (GIT), Ansible, Jenkins, Elastic Cloud / ELK stack, Kafka, Kubernetes operators. Redis
- A can-do attitude to take on tasks and work with an international team to get things done as well as improvements in processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in the connected car field and / or cloud SaaS products.
- 5 years of experience managing scalable terraform / terragrunt and ansible code.
- 5 years of experience with operating large-scale Azure and / or AWS cloud systems
- 5 years of experience with Kubernetes / Docker, queuing systems particularly Kafka
- Experience with distributed cloud systems that use Kubernetes.
- Experience with GitOps tools to manage Kubernetes clusters preferably FluxCD
- Experience with Hadoop / Hive / Spark stacks.
