Our client is a leading distributor / supplier to the Construction and Building Materials industry and has a job open for Inventory Manager for the finished goods inventory within warehouse and 3-4 Distribution Centres across Canada.
The job is based in Mississauga- Brampton, ON area. This is Hybrid 4 days a week from office.
Inventory Manager will manage the supply chain of the finished goods inventory, analyse historical data to set up optimal inventory levels of close to 60,000 part numbers, in mechanical electrical supplies / construction raw materials keeping seasonality in mind, work with selected suppliers and vendors to ensure Supply Plan, vendor analysis establishing optimal minimum quantities, reduce obsolescence and establish Continuous Improvement initiatives to improve the overall Inventory levels at all sites.
Inventory Manager is a leadership role (1 direct report), and will oversee stock rotations, physical counts within all the warehousing and DC locations.
Inventory Manager will ideally have 5-6 years’ experience in supply chain, forecasting within heavy industrial parts / Construction materials / Industrial Supplies and similar categories.
Degree / Diploma in Supply Chain; strong experience in Forecasting for construction and similar industries is highly preferred.
Power BI, SlimStock, GAINS , ERP, SAP knowledge / experience or similar -MUST. Designation / courses from SCMP preferred.
