Our Lethbridge facility is looking for a Maintenance and Engineering Manager to join our team.
The Maintenance and Engineering Manager supervises and coordinates the activities of the maintenance and engineering departments in a vegetable production environment according to established schedules, safety, and quality procedures.
This role needs to be a champion for continuous improvement in all areas of production by coordinating capital projects.

An employee in this role is expected to fulfill the following key functions and responsibilities :
- Monitors, directs, and mentors employees under your supervision;
- Ensures that the PM completion & parts supply of their departments is timely and effective;
- Responsible for diagnosing equipment malfunction, determining root cause, and initiating immediate and long-term corrections;
- Coordinates and leads capital projects with the support and directions of the Plant Manager;
- Responsible for meeting dedicated budget of department;
- Planning & budgeting for the long term sustainability of the plant's equipment & preventative maintenance plans;
- Directing & planning of any contract work;
- Responsible for actively participating in JHSC;
- Scheduling corrective actions of all health and safety and external and internal food safety audits;
- Completes workplace inspections as required BRC, Safety, etc.;
- Department timekeeping in Kronos;
- Accountable for compliance with established HACCP, Food Safety, and GMP protocols for employees under your supervision;
- Accountable for the health and safety of employees under your supervision;
- Responsible for ensuring that buildings, machinery, and equipment are safe, and that employees work in compliance with legislation and established safe work practice and procedures;
- Supervises maintenance repair work to machinery including the training, coaching, and development of employees;
- Participates in daily production meetings;
- All other related tasks.
Ton profil
- Completed Post-secondary program in Engineering or Ticketed Trade
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
- Ability to prioritize and demonstrate change management skills
- Proficiency in G Suite, Excel, and AUTOCAD
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Proficient spoken and written English
- Meet time-sensitive deadlines
