PositionSummary
The Financial Analyst willjoin the finance team in Markham Ontario.
The FArole is a highly versatile position that provides the foundationguidance and exposure towards a challenging and dynamic career.
TheFA will be involved at various depths with financial reportingliquidity management business planning valuations and forecasting.
Will work closely with other finance team members including CFO andother business groups (operations salesetc.)
Responsibilities
- Prepareconsolidated financial statements on a quarterly and annual basisand actively participate and lead the resolution of technicalaccounting issues including coordination withauditors;
- Support month end closing processincluding the preparation review and approval of journalentries;
- Compile analyze and report on keybusiness operating metrics / drivers including ability to linkoperating and financial trends andvariances;
- Preparation of cash forecastingincluding liaising with banks to assist with liquidity managementplanning of distributions and treasurydeliverables;
- Develop implement and monitorfinancial controls;
- Assist in preparation ofvarious analyses and reports for senior management to support theirbusiness decision making and for the board of directors includingmonthly and quarterly boardreports;
- Involvement with preparation offorecasting and business planningprocess;
- Support annual valuation processincluding indepth review of models / longterm assumptions and thepreparation of management presentations;
- Adhocanalyses and presentations on financial and operational results aswell as supporting any specialprojects;
Requirements
- Recognizedprofessional accounting designation (CPA CApreferred);
- Minimum three to five (35) years ofwork experience in an accounting function with a track record ofhigh performance;
- Advisory or corporate financeexperience at a recognized firm or FP&A at a leadingorganization would be an asset;
- Highlyproficient in Excel including ability to model and use advancedfunctions;
- Highly proficient in PowerPointincluding ability to generatepresentations;
- Strong attention to detail amust with ability to deliver management readymaterials;
- Demonstrated leadership ability andis a team player;
- Excellent analytical andproblemsolving skills and mentality;
- Excellentcommunication skills both verbally andwritten;
- Selfmotivated and proactive withrespect to both managing workload and professionaldevelopment;
