Our esteemed client is currently seeking an Office Administrator / Bookkeeper to join their team in their downtown office.

About the Role :
This uniquely developed role provides support to both Accounting and Consulting sides of the business. Reporting to the Owner of the company, the Office Administrator / Bookkeeper will provide support to ensure optimal functioning of the small office space, especially during personal tax season, while also providing bookkeeping support to clients.
There is an opportunity to grow into an agency consulting support role. This is a highly adaptable role, which ensures one day is never the same as the other.
Main Responsibilities (3 areas)
Office Administration
- Responsible for the office operations managing office space, ordering supplies, accepting packages, filing, shredding)
- Provide administrative support including scheduling meetings (both in-person and via zoom)
- Support the billing process to clients for both companies (billing monthly retainers, weekly project billing, corporate year end fees, personal tax fees)
Personal Tax Preparation
Responsible for managing the administration process during personal tax season (organization and management of all personal tax returns that pass through the office including creating files, collecting client authorizations, preparing final packages).

Prepare personal tax returns
Bookkeeping Services
- Maintain accurate monthly financial records for clients
- Prepare financial reports for owners / management to review.
- Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations.
Experience Required :
- Minimum 1 year experience preferred in office administration and handling bookkeeping responsibilities for a small business.
- Past experience in accounting practice ideal, or a recent graduate from an accounting program.
- Experience working with QuickBooks software is ideal
- Experience working with or knowledge of the advertising industry and / or software a bonus!
