Transco Rail Services manages Canada’s largest private tank car lease fleet and operates an extensive repair network across the country. Our fleet includes more than 30,500 special purpose tank and freight cars. We also operate 27 repair locations servicing the petroleum, petrochemicals, plastics, chemicals, fertilizers and food markets.

We have an exciting opportunity for a reliable Railcar Repair Technician with our South Saskatchewan Mobile Unit. This opportunity is ideal for experienced individuals seeking a stable position in an organization that offers advancement.

Responsibilities

• Must be eligible to work in Canada
• Car repairs involving cutting and welding on the rail body, including tanks and / or hoppers, and other car components
• Light and medium-duty repairs to rail cars
• Adhere to health and safety standards, including Responsible Care Policy
• Read, comprehend, and follow repair orders and procedures
• Other related duties as assigned
• Appropriately wear and utilize all safety equipment in accordance with EHS instruction and requirements : respirators (full and half face), hearing protection, eye protection, steel-toed boots, and fall protection

Hours Of Work

The normal work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 7 : 00 a.m. to 3 : 30 p.m., with schedule changes as business requirements dictate.
