Metrics Recruitment is seeking a Pharmacy Manager for a growing, pharmacist-owned organization with multiple locations in Alberta and British Columbia.
The Pharmacy Manager is responsible for the day-to-day management, long-term planning and functions of the pharmacy and front store.
In this position, you’ll lead and mentor a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, ensuring high-quality patient care and strict adherence to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and dispense medications.
- Review both new and recurring prescriptions.
- Apply principles of medication management consistently.
- Educate patients on the proper use of their medications.
- Monitor patient outcomes and progress.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation.
- Supervise and guide pharmacy staff.
- Collaborate with customers and healthcare professionals.
Education & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
- Active ACP license in good standing.
- APA certification is preferred.
- Valid CPR certification for Alberta.
- ISTM certification is an asset.
- Authorization to administer drugs by injection is an asset.
Experience & Skills
- Strong ability to meet regulatory compliance standards.
- Excellent organizational and operational management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of medication management and patient care.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in managing pharmacy inventory and financial operations.
- Preferred : three years of experience in retail pharmacy.
- Preferred : three years of leadership experience.
- Familiarity with the Dayforce system is an asset.
