Warehouse Tire Service Technician

Our International automotive parts client in Brantford is looking for a WAREHOUSE TIRE SERVICE TECHNICIAN to add to their growing team in BRANTFORD.

We are looking for someone that is mechanically inclined, and comfortable with troubleshooting, and operating equipment ( Hydraulic pres, Urethane fill equipment.

Forklift truck, Hand and power tools, Tire mounting machine, etc.)

Role : Warehouse Tire Service Technician

Pay Rate : $24.90 an hour

Shift : 7 am to 5 pm - Monday to Friday

Responsibilities

• Read job specifications to determine machine adjustments and material requirements.
• Operating equipment (tire mounting machine, hydraulic presses, urethane fill equipment, wrapping machines, etc)
• Sets stops or guides to specified length as indicated by scale, rule or template.
• Dismounts and mounts tires as specified by the customer order.
• Fills each tire with the required quantity and type of chemical and / or substance as noted by the manufacturer’s specifications.
• Observe machine operation to detect workpiece defects or machine malfunction.
• Performs minor machine maintenance such as oiling, cleaning or replacing consumable parts.
• Perform preventive maintenance and ensure cleanliness of all equipment including service vehicles
• Ensure tools and servicing equipment are kept clean and operational at all times.
• Assists other personnel in stacking, marking, packing and transportion of the finished product.
• Support warehouse team by filling orders and unloading shipments as required.
• Follow company procedures and supervisor’s instructions.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills :

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience working with hand and power tools or maintenance experience is an asset.
• Previous experience in an industrial environment and / or mechanical aptitude preferred.
• Functional knowledge of Supply Chain, Logistics, Warehouse Management ERP systems.
• Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.) software applications.
• Exhibits strong attention to detail, initiative, critical thinking, and leadership skills.
• Ability to effectively communicate with customers, both internal and external, on a professional level regarding product and business operations.
• Punctual, reliable, and willing to work overtime as required.
