About the Opportunity
Reporting to one of the Directors of Finance, the Administrative Assistant is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the finance department and providing administrative support to the Finance team, broadly.
The role is primarily intended to provide support at the Manager and Director level, and the Director group will determine priorities for this role.
The Administrative Assistant will provide support to teams, individuals, committees and working groups as assigned. Their overall objective will be to facilitate and coordinate the administrative operations and functions in support of the goals and objectives of the department.
The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative coverage in the absence of the Administrative Assistant to the Senior Director of Finance.
The Administrative Assistant ensures that the principles and practices that guide NSHA such as the vision, mission, values, expected behaviours, the leadership philosophy, organizational health, population health, ethics, safety, quality, partnerships and interprofessional collaboration are integrated within the work that they do.

Your Qualifications and Experience :
Post-Secondary diploma in a recognized office administration, business administration or secretarial program; or undergraduate degree combined with equivalent administrative experience
International Association of Administrative Professionals (IAAP) certification is an asset
Minimum of 3 years’ experience providing administrative support or equivalent position
Excellent communication, interpersonal, prioritization and organizational skills
High degree of initiative, diligence, attention to detail and focus
Strong working knowledge of MS Office technology including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Teams
This role will be people-facing and a friendly customer service orientation is paramount
Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
High degree of initiative, diligence, attention to detail and self-discipline / focus required

Hours
Permanent, full-time position, 75 hrs bi-weekly
Compensation and Benefits
$22.34 - $27.92 Hourly
