Product Marketing Managr
Position Overview :
As a Product Marketing Manager in the Moz Marketing team, you will be instrumental in shaping our product marketing strategy and leading the execution of marketing programs to drive awareness, demand, and adoption of our cutting edge SEO solutions.
You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, Channel Owners, Customer Success and external partners, to effectively position our products, identify market opportunities, and accelerate revenue growth.
The ideal candidate will have a good understanding of the SaaS landscape, a strategic mindset, and a proven track record of driving successful product launches. Responsibilities :
- Own the end-to-end GTM (Go-To-Market) strategy and execution for new product launches, upgrades and sunsets.
- Actively drive market positioning, packaging, value proposition, messaging, and other initiatives based on market research, competitive analysis, and customer feedback.
- Co-own launch decisions and communication strategies with product managers, ensuring that all departments are coordinated, Sales and Support teams are prepared, and the end-to-end customer experience is top notch.
- Partner closely with product managers and other cross functional leads to influence the product roadmap.
- Develop competitive positioning, provide insights, and talking points that can be leveraged by Marketing, Sales, and Support teams.
- You are the marketing focal point and cross-departmental coordinator on high-visibility marketing projects and product launches.
- Collaborate with the Growth and Content Marketing teams to develop the customer communication plan and lead-gen strategies supporting product releases.
- Craft all internal and external marketing communications about product launch activities working closely with Product Management, UX, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing teams.
- Develop and implement customer awareness and product engagement strategies and tactics tied to product releases
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and gain consensus in order to move projects forward.
- Keep the product marketing calendar up to date as timelines shift, communicating and collaborating often with the broader marketing team to adjust strategies and tactics accordingly.
- Distill benefits from technical product functionality, turning complex information into simple, compelling messaging.
- Direct promotional sizzle-reel’ style videos and training videos to highlight new features, functionalities, or workflows in and out of the product.
Skills & Experience :
- Experience leading product marketing and GTM launches in Tech / SaaS / B2B environment for self-serve / enterprise products
- Have 4+ years experience leading at least 5 end-to-end product launches and / or sunsets
- Excellent project management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects / deliverables simultaneously in a fast paced environment
- Solution first mindset combined with an analytical approach to problem solving based on facts, data and research
- Bias to Action. You can take others’ ideas, or your own, and turn them into reality through hypothesis, experimentation, testing, learning and scaling
- Comfortable with data analysis for goal setting, benchmarking, campaign performance and customer engagement tracking. And able to pull actionable insights from the data that leads to KPI improvements
- Demonstrated experience writing value propositions, positioning statements, feature-benefit descriptions, developing communication plans, and customer facing messaging / copy.
- Ensure product messaging is consistent, accurate, and on-brand across all channels, including our website and external product review sites, sales materials, in-product content, and collateral.
- Has worked with videographers to produce product demos / sizzle-reels, conducting and / or hosted webinars, designed or directed the design of marketing collateral, drafted press releases / press briefs, etc
