The Core Technology & Architecture team within IMIT (Information Management and Information Technology), manages the Hyperconverged Infrastructure, Networks and Data Centres and applies architecture principles and practices to guide organizations through the business, information, process, and technology changes necessary to execute their strategies.
To meet the changing operational needs of the team, we are seeking a motivated and organized individual to join our team as an Administrative Assistant for a co-op term.
Title : Administrative Support Student
Salary : $19.38 - $22.44 - $24.68 per hour (pay range explained below)
Contract : 5 month term
Hours : 37.5 hours ( Monday to Friday 8 : 30 am to 4 : 30 pm )
Location : Coast Salish Territory- Sinclair Office 50% Hybrid working is an option in line with FNHA’s flex work policy.
About the role
This dynamic role involves providing administrative support and actively contributing to planning various projects within the department.
The successful candidate will have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in office suite. This role will involve close collaboration with the Communications Lead to enhance internal and external communications and our Project managers to help plan a variety of IT projects.
Responsibilities :
- Assist in day-to-day administrative tasks, including email correspondence, calendar management, and document preparation.
- Coordinate meetings, conferences, and events, including scheduling, logistics, and follow-up.
- Create visually compelling and professional PowerPoint presentations for internal and external audiences.
- Collaborate with the Communications Lead to align messaging and branding across various channels.
- Support project managers in planning and executing various projects.
- The student must be able follow directions and willing to learn.

- Will be required to attend team meetings, training sessions or seminars which the Core Team will be involved in.
About you
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program in, Business Administration, Communications, Project Management, or a related discipline
- Microsoft Office Suite : Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications, with a strong emphasis on advanced skills in PowerPoint.
- Administrative Skills : Understanding of standard administrative procedures and best practices.
- Communication Skills : Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate ideas clearly and concisely.
- Attention to Detail : Meticulous attention to detail in all aspects of work, ensuring accuracy and quality.

The Pay Range is the minimum and maximum annual salary based on full time equivalent hours.
Incumbents are typically hired, transferred or promoted between the minimum and midpoint of the range based on their knowledge, skills, abilities and experience in relation to the role requirements.
The top 10% of the pay range is for the incumbents who are industry experts in the job with the combination of exceptional experience and competencies needed to perform all duties and responsibilities at a superior capability level.
As a health and wellness organization, the FNHA has aligned with the Provincial Public Health Order released on October 14, 2021.
We have a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination policy for all employees at First Nations Health Authority. This policy requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19.
