Reporting to the Fleet Supervisor, this position is responsible for providing maintenance and repairs to the Dufferin Concrete & Ontario Redimix fleet of vehicles.
Job Responsibilities :
- Perform inspections, diagnosis, & repair ready-mix trucks through preventative & scheduled maintenance.
- Perform removal, rework and installation of various engine and chassis components.
- Use leading diagnostic technology to identify breakdowns.
- Order required parts and maintaining parts inventory.
- Document repairs on work orders and complete inspections sheets as required.
- Communicate with operations and supervisory staff on availability of equipment.
- Prioritize jobs and work safely on all equipment.
- Follow shop procedures and company policies relating to use of shop and Occupational Health & Safety regulations.
- All other duties as required.
Requirements :
- Must possess a valid 310T Mechanic License
- Must posses a valid class G’ Driver’s License.
- Sound working knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic pumps and motors, and air brake systems are required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to travel to local sites as required.
