Overview of what you’ll work on :
- Collaborate with Executive Management on opportunities for business development and strategic planning.
- Lead, set expectation and guidelines for Regional Managers to achieve, based on business volume, current situations and new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with various departments to fine tune processes and work together towards creating results and innovation.
- Develop team skills, assess, determine objectives, and measure productivity on all aspects related to the delivery center’s operations such as customer service, recruitment, training, coaching and budgeting.
- Ensure the use of safe working methods and behaviors within the team.
- Execute plans designed to meet company goals by changing policies and coaching employees.
- Manages internal and external service suppliers.
What does it take to be successful?
- Undergraduate university degree in Logistics, Business Administration or any other training deemed equivalent.
- 10+ years or more of relevant experience in managing operations in transportation / courier industry or similar.
- A strong sense of entrepreneurship, an ability to cope quickly with unforeseen events and changes as well as the ability to work under pressure.
- A thorough understanding of the financial and administrative challenges faced by a growing company in a changing environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills, well-defined sense of diplomacy and conflict resolution.
- Possesses an excellent sense of organization, and ability to lead several projects simultaneously.
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrate good business judgment and a strong overall view of human resources and organizational development issues.
- Flexibility and ability to travel when required.
