As a Projects HSE Engineer II hereat Honeywell, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety, andenvironmental compliance of our operations.
You will work closely withcross-functional teams to develop and implement effective HSE programs andinitiatives. Your expertise in risk assessment, incident investigation, andregulatory compliance will contribute to creating a safe and sustainable workenvironment.
You will report directly to our Sr. HSE Engineer, and you'll work out of ourMarkham, ON location on a remote work schedule.
Extensive travel may benecessary as the project will take place throughout the province of Ontario.
In this role, you will impact the organization by :
- Developing and implementing HSE policies and procedures
- Conducting risk assessments and identifying potential hazards
- Leading incident investigations and implementing corrective actions
- Ensuring compliance with local, provincial, and federal regulations, as wellas customer requirements
- Liaison between Customer andHoneywell
- Providing appropriate reports tocustomer
- Providing HSE training and awareness programs to employees
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement inHSE performance
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and implement HSE policiesand procedures
- Conduct risk assessments and identifypotential hazards
- Lead incident investigations andimplement corrective actions
- Ensure compliance with local,provincial, and federal regulations
- Provide HSE training and awarenessprograms to employees
- Collaborate with cross-functionalteams to drive continuous improvement in HSE performance
- Travel throughout Ontario is a part of this role
YOU MUST HAVE
- Bachelor's degree in OccupationalHealth and Safety, Environmental Science, or related field or equivalentelectrical field work experience on a year for year basis.
- 3+ years of experience in HSE role
- Knowledge of local, provincial, andfederal HSE regulations and standards
- Valid driver's license with a clean Motor Vehicle Record
- Customer required background verification checks must be completed and approval maintained
